Lumberjack obstacle course race, details coming soon
What is the Lumberjack Race?
Not sure if you know this or not but Ottawa was a very popular logging town back in its day. It was home to one of the biggest Lumberjacks in the nation, his name was Big Joe Mufferaw. He was a French Canadian folk hero from the Ottawa Valley, perhaps best known today as the hero of a song by Stompin’ Tom Connors or as the Ottawa Redblacks mascot. Like Paul Bunyan, he made his living chopping down trees.
The permanent course is 8 Kms with 30 legit obstacles. In the Fall of 2018 OCR Ranch is hosting their first of many OCR series. The goal for this race is to be fun but challenging at the same time. The obstacles are designed to test you both physically and mentally. The good thing about the never changing course is that you can practice on some of them at OCR Ranch . OCRA will also be hosting many field trips to the location as well (stay tuned for more details as they become available).
All obstacles are mandatory, with a band removal for non completion. FIND OUT MORE!
